As we have just recently passed Mr. and Mrs. Fish’s one year wedding anniversary, I thought I’d post a little real wedding love on Champagne and Chandeliers.
This wedding has a fun story that anyone who has ever planned (or attended) a Spring wedding in Charleston can relate to. To start things off, the main focal point of the decor plan was peaches. Turns out, in the middle of April it is INCREDIBLY hard to find peaches in South Carolina. We managed to find enough peaches from several different grocery stores and farmer’s markets around the area to pull off the decor plan without a hitch! Then came the day of the wedding…the weather was beautiful and sunny until right before the ceremony. That’s when those dark grey storm clouds started rolling in. Everything stayed dry through the ceremony, cocktail hour, and most of dinner. Towards the end of dinner and speeches, the heavens opened up! Even though there was a tent in place, it seemed like rain was coming from all directions…up, down, left, and right! Everyone picked up and ran straight into the house. Some people brought their plates, some brought their drinks, and others grabbed entire bottles of champagne-hey, whatever is important, right?!
So, sit back, relax, and enjoy some pretty today!
I’ll never get tired of looking at pictures of Lowndes Grove.
Kait and Jason’s wedding invitations were just perfect for their intimate wedding.
Seriously swooning over this lush flower chuppah.
Vera Wang = PERFECTION
Could you even dream up a prettier bouquet?
The rain and wind held off long enough for Shannon to get some amazing pictures of the couple on the dock at Lowndes Grove.
Kait created this chalkboard menu on her own and it is amazing! Not to mention, that I’m getting hungry looking at this amazing spread.
These beautiful roses adorned the buffet tables.
These perfectly appropriate favors were the cutest way to top off the end of the night!
