As we all know, Charleston is a huge wedding destination, so our clients are always asking us what they need to do and see while they are here on planning weekends before the wedding. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite things to do here in Charleston!
First Friday on Broad
The first Friday of every month, the art galleries on Broad Street open from 5 PM until 9 PM. Not only can you mosey from one gallery to the next, but they serve you wine and cheese at each gallery…for free! I don’t know about y’all, but I can’t think of a better (and more cost effective) way to spend a relaxing Friday night in Charleston.
Check out the city from a rooftop
While Charleston isn’t known for skyscrapers, it has quite a few great places to soak in a rooftop view. Stars is one of the newer rooftop bars, and it was recently voted the best rooftop bar in Charleston. They boast sweeping views of Charleston’s King Street District, an enormous selection of wines, and a great atmosphere.
Take A Stroll Around The City
Charleston has so many hidden gems that you don’t get to see unless you are on foot. We recommend couples strap on a pair of their most comfortable walking shoes and just walk where their feet take them. Don’t plan a destination or take a map with you (okay, maybe if you’re not familiar with the area you should bring a map). Wander into whatever little unknown pub or deli you happen upon and you might just find your new favorite place to visit in Charleston.
