Happy July! Wow, a lot has happened over the past few weeks! For one, yours truly is now a bride-to-be! I am so excited to share my personal planning process with you as I begin planning my dream day along with a dream team of wedding professionals (many whom are great industry friends, a perk of being a planner bride)! From wedding dresses, to bridal party, the details, and beyond, I cannot wait to share my personal experience and journey with you + share some helpful tips along the way!
So…where to begin?! The engagement itself can be a very overwhelming and emotional time. First things first, ENJOY THE MOMENT! Looking back on my engagement, the evening is such a blur. I was so overjoyed and ecstatic and immediately started Facetiming and calling my family and closest friends. It was not until a couple hours later I sat down to really let everything sink in. While I was so excited to share the good news with everyone, I do wish I had taken some time to just enjoy the moment a little bit longer with Glenn (my groom). The engagement period flies by so fast, even if you do plan on having a longer engagement. Glenn and I try to stop and take in precious moments throughout the planning process as it is slowly flying by.
Even if you have been planning your big day since you were a little girl, getting organized is very critical to a smoother planning process. Though you may have a vision as to what you want your wedding day to be like, I ALWAYS recommend hiring a wedding planner to ease the stress and to handle the details. I have been in this industry for many years now and will be handling the majority of planning myself, but I still am bouncing ideas off my fellow ACE family + other wedding professional friends to ensure I can be fully at ease on my wedding day. It is one of the biggest days of your life…of course you want everything to be perfect! Hiring a professional who has the experience and knowledge to direct and execute your day flawlessly is surely worth the investment.
