Ahhh…Derby! I must admit I have only been once, but being engaged to Louisville, Kentucky boy, this event is huge in our household. Being told we are to host a ‘Derby Party’, as most good Lousivillians do, I figured it was as good of time as ever to find some new ideas.

I love all of the bright colors Bash, Please has used in their tablesetting- they remind me of the silks the jockeys wear. And the gold horses, precious!! Check out these yummy macaroons from Charleston’s Macaroon Boutique – a classy treat for any affair!

We do have quite a collection of derby glasses in our house and I just love these julep placecards. An excuse to use peonies, garden roses, aquafresca containers and the tarnishing silver in my cabinets?….yes please! And Lilly Pulitzer linen…this is a southern event after all!
