Hello again!
I told you I’d be journaling every now and then about my internship at the fabulous Carolina Food Design. So here I am again J
A few weeks ago Ali and I visited Harborside East, a new event venue in Mount Pleasant. It is nestled close to the Ravenel Bridge and on the Mount Pleasant side of the Charleston Harbor. Facing west, it is a prime location to take in a glorious Charleston day or night!
However, the location of this venue is only the beginning of the pros on our list! The inside of the venue is decorated in a grandiose theme with wainscoting on all of the treated walls. The dark mahogany wood on the walls and the aluminum bar top with intricate trim is absolutely breathtaking and makes you feel like you just stepped into a palace!
In addition to a HUGE ballroom, you also get access to a huge patio, including wrought iron furniture, so you and your guests can enjoy the magnificent view of the Cooper River, Ravenel Bridge, and the city of Charleston. Also, if you’re looking for a ceremony site, look no further! Harborside East has several options for a grassy outdoor ceremony with a beautiful view of the bridge and the Cooper River.
Continuing with positive words, logistically, this location is a huge stress reliever! First, the parking lot can accommodate up to 200 cars…if you have ever tried to park in downtown Charleston, you know parking can be a huge hassle! Also, they have a full-size, industrial kitchen that any licensed and insured caterer can use! As if you needed any more convincing, they have a few extra small rooms to use as a bridal suite, coat check, band warm up room, etc. And here comes the clincher…all of their rentals and clean up are included! So to wrap up, Harborside East appeals to everyone who wants the beautiful views and intricate interiors, but without a lot of the stress.
