It’s Peach Season in SC, Y’all!

For you dedicated readers of Champagne & Chandeliers, you will remember our debacle with the crazy peach seasons in April.  If you’re not familiar with that story, you can find it here.

Anyhow, I was doing some quick grocery shopping at my local Piggly Wiggly and I noticed that they were featuring Mac’s Peaches in the produce section.  Mac’s Peaches are the absolute best peaches you can get in South Carolina.  They come from a tiny little town in Darlington County called McBee (pronounced Mac-Bee), and they are always the sweetest, most scrumptious peaches.  But, I digress.

I wanted to revisit the idea of incorporating fruit into the decor scheme of weddings.  Honestly, I can’t think of a down-side to using fruit.  The color they bring to the event is immeasurable while also keeping with a natural feel.  It also makes the event space smell wonderful!  There is no air freshener or Yankee Candle that can recreate the aroma that is given off from the mixture of fruit and flowers.

So…the moment we’ve all been waiting for, the pretty inspiration pictures!  Enjoy!

These gorgeous centerpieces were the focal point of the guests’ tables at the Choyke-Freeman wedding in 2012. Out of Hand was responsible for these beautiful arrangements, and Juliet Elizabeth Photography did an impeccable job capturing the details.

Debi from First Bloom of Charleston is a genius when it comes to flowers! These aisle markers were fragrant and beautiful. Reese Moore was the photographer for this wedding and was an absolute pleasure to work with!

You can't get a fresher look than this fruity arrangement on the bar at the intimate McKay-Fish wedding in April of 2013. This arrangement was done by the talented Ali of A. Caldwell Events. Despite the gale force winds and pouring down rain, Shannon Holt of Riverland Studios captured the big day perfectly!
