Today is the first day of October. While the official end of summer was September 21st, the beginning of October markes the unofficial end of summer in South Carolina. We may still have the occasional 90 degree day, but for the most part things are going to be getting cooler and crisper by the day.
At first, I was extremely sad about the end of beach days, 8 PM sunsets, and the smell of suntan oil, but then I got to thinking about all of the perks of Autumn. First, we get to break out all of our cute fall cardigans, jackets, and boots. Second, football. Need I say more? Third, and possibly most important, we get to indulge in food that our bikini bodies wouldn’t allow! Which brings me to some to-die-for concoctions we’ve been seeing around town!
Most recently, we attended Cru Catering’s open house, and boy was it divine!
Needless to say, while everyone else is mourning summer, I’ll be here munching on some delicious food! Summer really was great, but don’t forget to enjoy the present. And presently, it is fall, y’all!
