It is no secret that Charleston is full of beautiful, amazing venues for weddings! Thousands of people from all over the nation {and the world} flock to Charleston each year to take advantage of the variety of romantic locales. Today, we thought we’d list some of our favorite venues in the area!
Lowndes Grove
Photography by Reese Moore. We love Lowndes Grove for plenty of obvious reasons. Perhaps it is the stately white house that greets you as you enter through the wrought iron gates, or maybe it is the sunsets over the Ashley River.
William Aiken House
Photography by Jennifer Bearden. If William Aiken House doesn’t exude Charleston charm and character, I don’t know what does! The balance of indoor decadence and outdoor beauty is what makes this venue so popular!
The Island House
Photos by Jennifer Bearden. Can you imagine a more serene place to get married?! Nestled on the bank of the Stono River on John’s Island, this venue is the perfect Charleston property to have your wedding.
Legare Waring House
Photos by King Street Studios and Richard Bell Photography. Having your ceremony take place under the Avenue of Oaks is nothing short of memorable. Then, your guests will feel like they’ve been to a true Charleston wedding when they eat, drink, and be merry on the patio in front of the Legare Waring House.
Founder’s Hall
Photo by Robbin Knight Photography. For the bride who wants a more modern feel to her lowcountry wedding, Founder’s Hall is the place for her! With it’s 21st century design surrounded by well manicured traditional lowcountry landscape, this venue is the perfect mix of new and old.
Cannon Green
Photo by Leigh Webber. Of all the new venues that have opened in the past couple of years, Cannon Green is the one we’re most excited to work at! Located in the up and coming neighborhood of Cannonborough-Elliotborough, this venue’s star is rising fast!
Coleman Hall
Photo by Sally Watts. We LOVE this venue for small intimate weddings! The chapel on property gives the venue a traditional feeling, and the reception area is a perfect blank slate. Not to mention the beautiful, luscious courtyard!
