Oh, the places we’ll go: Palmetto Bluff

With venues like the Legare Waring House, William Aiken House, and Lowndes Grove continually making national lists of iconic places for weddings in the South, we are beyond blessed to have so many acclaimed venues at our finger tips in Charleston! While we love all of our Charleston vendors and venues, we are excited to expand our venue portfolio and one venue just south of us that we are dying to work at is the stunning Palmetto Bluff!

Located in Bluffton, SC, one of the first things you see as you make your way around the property is the quaint waterside chapel overlooking the May River. The property boasts two elegant ballrooms, several open lawns, a restored yacht, a private wine cellar space, and a river-front pavilion. With so many space options, a weekend full of events from bridal brunches, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, receptions, and beyond, there are spaces for each event to suit any brides tastes.

The weather in Bluffton is quite similar to that of Charleston: mild winters, with comparatively hot and humid summers, reasonably wet yet warm springs, and a fall day could be crisp and cool or upper 80s just depending on the day. The openness of the location allows for tenting on the lawns and also features locations like the Canoe Club or Moreland Landing, which offer open air pavilions with water views and low-country scenery.

Photos of Palmetto Bluff do not even do this property justice! Whether a bride is desiring a casual, low-country outdoor affair or an intimate, elegant seated dinner, each of the spaces on the property can be transformed to their vision!
