No one gets into the wedding and event planning business thinking they’re going to have lots of nights and weekends available, but we have been so blessed to be as busy as we were this week! Here’s a recap of our whirlwind of the past several days:
Monday: We visited High Cotton to see their great private event space along with the lovely ladies from Yoj Events and Breeze! We sampled some of High Cotton’s marvelous food and cocktails, and even left with delicious cookies!
Tuesday: We also dropped in to see Brooke Bishop and Leigh Ann Odell at B. Gourmet Catering. We chatted with them about the ever-changing trends in catering! They are seeing a shift to tapas style plated dinners. It gives guests a variety of food without breaking the bank! Possibly the most impressive thing I saw was the Lowcountry Boil sliders. They basically take all the components of Lowcountry Boil (potatoes, shrimp, sausage, and corn) and put it on a bun. It is basically heaven in your mouth!
Wednesday: Savannah visited Lava Salon in Avondale on Wednesday night! They had an absolutely awesome party going on with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, not to mention a fashion show! They have so many great services to offer, from a groom’s straight razor shave to them bringing their Airstream trailers on site to do your hair and makeup!
Thursday: Ali attended the Gourmet Bay open house. She said the food was to die for, especially the Mini Philly Cheesesteaks, Mini Shepherd’s Pie, and Chicken & Waffles infused with Lavender. We love working with Gourmet Bay. They have delicious food, and they are some of the nicest, most professional vendors in the business!
