Normally, we focus on wedding and event related things, but today we’re shifting gears. After all, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage.
Our dear friend Sarah Murdoch of 428 Main Vintage Rentals has recently launched her own vintage-inspired baby clothing website, Pippa Little. Sarah became a mom in 2015 to Violet, who is the cutest, most giggly baby I’ve seen. When shopping for baby clothes, she had a hard time finding exactly what she was looking for. She wanted Violet to wear “basic silhouettes, but in bold patterns and prints that weren’t cartoonish.” So, Sarah took to her sewing machine and started making her own clothes for Violet out of fun fabric and trims. Once her friends saw Violet sporting the adorable bubbles and peplum tops, they started asking her to make things for their kids. And the rest is history!
Pippa Little launched with two silhouettes, and they have a few more in production now, including one or two for boys. Sarah’s clothes aren’t just for babies, either. The Millie peplum top goes up to child’s size 5-6!
