As promised, I have a second post featuring another WONDERFUL artist!  Today’s inspiring artist is Amy Lind.  She is an extremely talented painter from Savannah, GA, even though her work is featured throughout the country in galleries like Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, SC, Legacy Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ, and Waterhouse Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA.  Unfortunately, this particular inspiration has already been purchased, but you can see her many other works on her website and blog.  You can also contact her at amy@amylind.com

This has got to be one of my favorite event-inspiring paintings.  The colors used lend themselves perfectly to a soft, spring-time color palette, and the incorporation of different types of flowers inspire the centerpieces and other floral uses.  Not to mention the fact that the woman in the painting is wearing a white dress and has a bouquet, like a bride would.

While last week’s art inspired me in a rustic direction, this week I see rich simplicity.  The chair in the painting reminds me of something that would be used in a plantation home dining room.

 The color palette for this event would be one that brings in many colors through beautiful floral arrangements, while also using timeless neutral linens and furniture.

To bring in more color, like in the painting, I would use a mixture of garden roses, daisies, roses, and lilies to make beautiful, natural looking arrangements to adorn the tables.

Now that the weather is getting warm and beautiful again, I encourage each and every one of you to look for inspiration everywhere you go!
